Temporary Exhibitions
Opening : From the 2007-10-06
to the 2008-01-06
Rates : Free For the first time, the Petit Palais, Paris's fine-arts museum, and the Fonds Municipal d'Art Contemporain (Fmac), present an exhibition selected from their respective collections in the Museum's permanent collection rooms.A selection of fifty works from the Fmac, acquired over the last twenty years, enter a ""dialogue"" with works in the Petit Palais, from the Renaissance to the beginning of the twentieth century. The exhibition invites the visitor to take a different view of the works, stimulating exchanges over the issues that they raise and feelings that they generate. It also illustrates the way in which the city's collections combine their museum function with that of circulating works in the reception areas of administrations. The exhibition thus also contributes to raising awareness of the City of Paris's initiatives to help artists and of its involvement in the diffusion of contemporary art. |
